Knowing

It doesn't matter where you are, if your mind is already there, or is still resisting it, this is another way of exploring things. What basically most of us are looking for, is the end of our suffering. We all got it, so again this is one of the direct ways to end it.

Because if you are not separate, this is what happens: imagine you are everything in this room, outside, just as a mental exercise. You are the planets, you are the galaxy, that's what you actually are. You are the universe, all dimensions, all the universes, you are space and time.

If you want, you can just close your eyes and feel that for a moment. All objects, all thoughts, all beings, everything is what you are.

(Pause)

Now, look at what you said you were seeking earlier, but from that perspective, like being everything. Imagine it again. You are everything in this room, all outside, all the planets, galaxy, sun, everything, out, out, out… all the universes.

Imagine you are "that".

What are you looking for?

I don't know.

Okaey, stay there. "I don't know" is fine. Let your mind feel this, it doesn't matter if the mind doesn't want to. So all you've done, is that we've changed our belief, we've changed our identity, from a limited identity to a unlimited identity.

From having beliefs, and being identified with our beliefs, to maybe not having any beliefs, or not being identified with some specific belief.

This is the shift we are talking about.

We are talking about enlightenment, Self–realization, these kinds of concepts, which is actually talking about a shift: all believes, identities, all ideas disappears. And that reveals what we have always been. So then the balance, peace, happiness, harmony, whatever you are looking for, knowing, truth, we certainly realize it's already what we are.

It's already present. It has always been here.

What's actually shifting, is for a moment the thinking mind is not there, the I-thought is not there and what is revealed is what has always been here, I call it "Knowing".

I felt this shift like you don't look at yourself, but you look somewhere else and the attention moves from yourself to the thing that you are, one with the universe.

Instead of saying "I am one with the Universe", could you say "I am the Universe?". Try it now, see the difference.

I could. Yes, the difference is very clear.

Isn't it like a pride? Isn't it an arrogance to say "I am the Universe"?

Well, then Jesus was very proud. Linguistically, you are right, if you say "I am the universe" and it means that this body-mind organism is the universe. But if you say "The Universe is I", "The Universe is what I am", it is slightly different.

And that's exactly was Jesus said: "I am that I am". If you replace the word "that", with the word "everything" it becomes "I am everything, everything I am".

And when that acceptance happens, it answers some of the questions we have, and there is a so-called space in the mind, there are no more questions. And for some people, if it's meant to happen, we just don't know, the so-called realization, enlightenment, awakening, will happen.

And what's revealed is, in that moment, that singular moment, so-called event, which is not an event, what's revealed is, realized, we have never been a separate being. "I-Me" has never existed. Then it is clear, there has never been "another", never been a God, never been a Consciousness, never actually been "duality".

All the dualities are understood to be just appearances. The objects are known to be just appearances. There is awareness, some kind of observer, call it witness, observer which is always present. And that's the way life is lived thereafter, with this "Knowing".

Why some people can reach that point and some not?

We don't know. But, if we go back to the beliefs, what disappears is the beliefs that there have been individual people. So who are we talking about?

And if you just look at that for a moment for yourself, you can see that everything is based on that belief, that there is a "me", and there is "another". Other person, other object …

That's why I said: that's the root, the key, to everything.
